L&C Mortgages has scooped four awards at the 2020 What Mortgage Awards, which recognise and reward the best businesses in the UK’s mortgage and personal finance markets. The winners of the awards, which are voted for independently by consumers, were announced on 15th July. L&C was awarded Best Mortgage Broker (40 advisers and over), Best Online Broker, Best Broker Website, and Best Specialist Adviser. L&C was also Highly Commended in the Best Buy to Let Broker Award category. It is the third consecutive year that L&C has won the Best Mortgage Broker Award and the second year in a row it has won the Best Specialist Adviser Award. The awards, which celebrate their 27th anniversary this year, sees winners selected by consumers in a 21-week voting campaign. Visitors to What Mortgage’s website are invited to nominate the businesses with which they’ve had positive experiences, and a shortlist of nominees is formed. Consumers are then asked to vote for their winners and give them a rating score out of 5. The winner of the best overall lender this year was Halifax, with Nationwide Building Society and NatWest both highly commended in this category. NatWest won the prize for Best National Bank, with Skipton Building Society winning the prize for Best National Building Society.
